Overview: The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is a really good phone, over the years the price has decreased making a more worthwhile pickup. Firstly the overall design gives off a premium feel, the phone is more square shaped with less rounded of corners but this maximises the screen size. The display of the phone stretches out to the edge, as a curve and the screen as a whole is almost bezel-less apart from the top and bottom bezels. With this large display, you are receiving a high resolution of 1440 x 2960, so pixels are very detailed and sharp. Furthermore the build quality of the phone is what you would expect with strong materials keeping the phone durable. There is not much to complain about the internals of the phone, it is very fast and fluid, good enough to run Samsung Dex, click here to find out more. The camera of the phone is as you would expect, good enough to take good quality pictures and video, but not to massively impress your friends or family. The battery of the phone is not great as it quite low, but this will still last you most of your day and you charge the device straight back up after. In addition this phone is one of the very few that packs a stylus in the box. Samsung S-Pen gives you another way to navigate on the phone and other features like quickly jotting down things, and this may add to productivity of the phone. Overall the Samsung Note 8 is an excellent phone apart from some of the minor cons such as the battery and the camera, but this phone will still prove to be great, if you would like to purchase one from Amazon click Here: https://amzn.to/2ZQOhdx

Design: The Galaxy Note 8 is quite simple in design and very large. The display has a equal size bezels top and bottom, a curved display for more screen to bezels and 2 cameras aligned in a rectangle shape. Also included in that rectangle is the fingerprint sensor which for some hands' may be a hard place to reach. However the simplistic design still looks and feels as a premium device. Furthermore the back of the device has a chrome shinny finish which may pick up a lot of fingerprints and smudges and also may be slippery, however you can use a case and it will be completely fine. The device comes in 4 colour variations, Midnight Black, Orchid Grey, Maple Gold and Deep Sea Blue. Overall the Galaxy Note 8 is an aesthetically pleasing device, but it quite a large device to hold, which adds to the viewing experience, yet it may be uncomfortable to use sometimes.

Build Quality: The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is quite heavy for a mobile phone (it weighs 195g) , however it packs a lot of features and power it and it uses strong materials to maintain durability. Both the front and back have a Gorilla Glass 5 so the device is less scratched up and the device is closed off with an aluminium frame. Together this makes the phone reasonably durable so it does not break easily and maintain a good quality but still keeping the aesthetic of the phone as high as possible.

Display: The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is a large phone, with a large display and mostly bezels apart from the two bezels, top and bottom. The device has a super Amoled touchscreen with an infinity display so colours will be looking vibrant and will pop. Contrast of colours are accurate making much the overall viewing experience much more immersive. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has a resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels, so content will look sharp and ensure for great detail when viewing different media on the phone. The display as a whole is great for streaming, browsing the internet, playing games etc, and this is even better as the screen is large so you are able to see everything clearly. Furthermore the large screen compliments the addition of the S-pen with it wide-range of features, such as quickly jotting down notes, physically writing a message, using the S-Pen as another way to control the phone, etc.

Internals: The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has a Snapdragon 835 combined with 6GB of ram, and both of these pack of lot performance power. It is very fast, and smooth and apps will run fluidly. Combine this high power with the large display, you will not be disappointed when viewing different types of media. Storage will not be a problem, base storage of the phone is available at 64GB, 128GB and 256GB and even if you need extra storage you can slot in and SD Card. Overall the performance of this phone, is still really good, to the point where you ca still run Samsung Dex.

Camera: The dual cameras are both 12MP and unfortunately they are not super impressive and colours are not as natural as it could be. However in good lighting conditions, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will still produce high quality, sharp, good looking pictures. Images do have a slight over saturation, but this makes images pop much more. The selfie camera is an 8MP camera and produces decent selfie images, but the rear camera is obviously far superior. Video recording is at a good level, where you can just about record at 4k, but this will be at 30 fps (you can decrease to 1080p for higher fps). Overall the cameras are good and as of when the phone was released, these cameras can still produce high quality for both Images and Video.

Battery: The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has a small battery capacity of only 3300 mAh which is not an upgrade from the last generation, due to the last generation of Samsung Note's which had a drastic failure. However the battery can still last you almost 12 hours, and the Samsung Note 8 has the ability for fast charge 2, up to 15W which will take above an hour to charge to full. In addition to fast charge, the device can wireless charge but this will take longer. Overall the battery and the charging capabilities is slightly weak, but for the price and the other exciting features, which will outweigh the cons.

Operating Systems: Android 7 which can be upgrade to Android 9 (Pie)

Other/Extra Features: The S-Pen is one of the unique features of the Samsung Note 8. With the S-Pen, it makes the device acts more than a smart phone, where you are able to easily navigate around different applications more precisely. Also In addition the Samsung Note 8 has support for Samsung Dex, click here to find out more about the Samsung Dex.

Negatives: The battery capacity is relatively low and it is unfortunate, that the fast charging although is a good speed, it would be better for the device to charge fast. However the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will still last almost of your day, as the device has good optimisation. Also as the phone is very large, some may find it difficult to reach the fingerprint sensor, but overtime you will get used to it and its a small trade off for a large display.
